It does not look like Andrew Tate is going to fade away from the limelight anytime soon. He is currently under house arrest after 92 days of incarceration in Romania. He is under investigation by the DIICOT (Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism), a Romanian law enforcement agency. Andrew was apprehended on suspicion of organized crime, r*pe, and human trafficking. Recently, he was confronted by BBC on the topic.
Top G sat down with BBC journalist Lucy Williamson for an interview, which has gotten over 2.1 million views already. In the interview, both Tate and Williamson were very tense and had heated exchanges during parts of the interview. However, the style of the interview from Lucy received a lot of criticism from the Tate fans. Even the former 4-time boxing world champion called the interview “agenda” driven.
Hence, Tate has now decided that he would not be sitting down with any of the established media outlets such as the BBC. However, he will change his mind, for a fee of $50,000 and a box of chocolates. But the controversial social media influencer has a reason behind it.

He said, “My fee from this point onwards, is $50,000 and a box of chocolates. That is what it is going to cost you to speak to me if you’re from the matrix. You’ll give me $50,000 in advance, which will be donated to take pledge, which will be used to feed children in the war torn countries. And, you’ll also bring a box of chocolates to my gate, which I will ingest as I listen to your matrix propaganda and destroy you.”
Hence, it seems like Andrew Tate has had enough of opening himself up to journalists. Even before Lucy Williamson, Vice reporter and filmmaker Matt Shea made a documentary on Tate that the former labeled as a “hit piece.” So Tate wants to eat chocolate and do some charity work at the same time if he has to do another interview with an established media outlet.
And, as he explained, Andrew Tate will donate the $50,000 to charity.
Andrew Tate is set to remain under house arrest till June 31
As Andrew Tate is currently inside his property in Romania, it is easy to forget that he is still under house arrest as the criminal investigation against him rages on. Tate was first detained on December 29, 2022, when he was inside his house in Romania. As per reports, his place was raided, and Tate, his brother Tristan Tate, and two of the alleged associates Luana Radu and Georgiana Naghel, were taken by the authorities.
Afterward, despite several attempts and court hearings, and reports of lung cancer, Andrew Tate remained inside the prison until the end of March. During his stay, Andrew wrote several letters from the jail and described the horrible living conditions inside the cells. However, once he was finally out, Tate thanked the judges who granted his house arrest and denied all the allegations repeatedly.
