Controversial former kickboxing champion, Andrew Tate is currently under house arrest in Romania. He was initially detained in Bucharest, Romania on December 29, 2022. After spending 92 days in detention inside a prison, the authorities ordered Andrew, his brother Tristan Tate and two of their female alleged accomplices to remain under house arrest. However, amid his house arrest, Andrew was recently interviewed by the BBC.
Andrew Tate has been having a feud with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). After Top G was let go from prison, BBC made attempts to secure the very first interview of the influencer. First, the media company sent Matt Shea, who previously made an unflattering documentary about Tate. From his prior experience, Andrew was not happy with Matt and decided to humiliate the filmmaker by making him stand outside his house.
I harbour no hard feelings against the BBC or any journalist who attempts to lie about me.
The truth of my message is known and good will continue to spread.
Tolerance and love for all.

Although Matt Shea’s attempt to interview Andrew Tate went in vain, BBC re-scheduled the meeting with a female journalist, Lucy Williamson. Their interview got quite intense and both Lucy and Andrew exchanged heated words.
Lucy accused Andrew of being the reason behind some of the widespread misogyny. Once Tate denied the notion, Lucy asked whether Tate believed he was “the most influential man on the planet,” to which Andrew replied he was the most googled man instead.
Fans slam the BBC journalist for one-sided interview of Andrew Tate
The friction between Andrew Tate and Lucy Williamson was very evident from the very get-go. Tate fans accused the interviewer of being hostile toward their hero. Lucy asked Tate questions regarding the r*pe allegations, human trafficking, and organized crime. While Tate has denied all the accusations and charges against him, many of his fans were outraged by the tone Lucy was using throughout the interview.
Even during the short version of the interview uploaded by BBC on YouTube, Tate was quoted saying that Lucy Williamson conducted the interview with an “agenda.” The BBC version of the interview already has gained a ton of backlash. It just goes to show how influential Tate is and his fans will stand by him at all costs. Aside from showing their support for Andrew on YouTube, Tate’s fans also made their frustrations clear on social media sites.
Here are some fan reactions on the matter

Once you realize that what you believed in was false, you will never trust it again.

Between Elon Musk & now that Andrew Tate effort – one thing appears clear:
BBC have – in a mixture of cow-towing to politicians who’ll always ideologically hate it anyway & failing to support their top talent – left themselves completely ill equipped to manage high profile…

Amid all the controversy and outrage, Tate also shared on Twitter that his house arrest was extended by another 30 days. Although he does not have to spend time inside a prison cell any longer, Tate is still unable to travel anywhere he pleases.
However, that did not stop him from ordering the electric supercar, Rimac Nevera. Previously, his famous $5.2 million Bugatti was seized by the Romanian police. So it will be interesting to see if all the charges against him get dropped or not in the near future.
