Khalil Everage was recently featured in a highly anticipated basketball film called Shooting Stars. The film is based on LeBron James‘ famous high school basketball team that dominated the scene during the early 2000s. It focuses on James’ life as well, before he became arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. There have been a few basketball-related films released but Shooting Stars might be the best one yet.
The movie is an adaptation of the Shooting Stars book which was written by James and Buzz Bissinger. Directed by Chris Robinson, the film has received great reviews for far. It has a 6.5/10 IMDb score and is rated 55% on the rotten tomatoes meter. Macquis Mookie Cook will be making his silver screen debut as James in the movie. He recently committed to the University of Oregon.

LeBron’s high school squad was a group of really good friends. The squad was built around James, Romeo Travis, Willie McGee, Dru Joyce III, and finally Sian Cotton. NBA recruit Scoot Henderson and Netflix powerhouse Caleb McLaughlin are also featured in the film. Khalil Everage played the role of Sain Cotton, one of the team’s priced pieces. Cotton was one of the final members to join the Fab 5 high school team. They went on to win laurels for St. Vincent St. Mary’s Fighting Irish.
Khalil Everage plays a recurring role in a hit Netflix series
Khalil Everage is a fairly young individual who has made it big in the movie industry. He was born on January 6, 2001, in Chicago, Illinois. Everage earned his big break after landing the role of Chris on a top-ranked Netflix show called Cobra Kai. This show has been running successfully since 2018 and Chris is a recurring character that plays an important part in the storyline.
He also had another hit release back in 2019 starring alongside Hollywood veteran Anthony Anderson. This also happens to be a Netflix Original, called BEATS. This movie was also directed by none other than Chris Robinson. He also made appearances on The Crusades and The Chi. While Khalil Everage has had significant success in the movie business so far, Shooting Stars might be his biggest project yet.
