He candidly told, “So 2-3 in the morning, I gotta go get 4-5 TVs, I gotta get printers, I gotta get laptops, appliances, sheets, towels, underwear, t-shirts. At the end of it, my bill was $70,000 and it got declined. So I pulled it out ‘ahh’ *rubs card on t-shirt* and put it back in. It said declined again”
While narrating the story, he also revealed he has the biggest purchase in Walmart history. So Shaq doesn’t only hold highly reputed NBA awards, but apparently also the record of having the biggest purchase.
This embarrassing story is of the time when Shaq got traded to Phoenix from Miami. They had an apartment for him but with nothing in it. Him being the type of guy who has no patience, he decides to go shopping at 3 am in the morning.

In his own words, “Then American Express security called me, ‘Hey man, somebody stole your credit card and spent $70,000 at Walmart’. I said, “no, that was me”. They turned it back on, it’s a true story.”
Shaq also mentioned how upon getting the card declined twice, he said, “I know I am not broke”. $400 Million worth Shaq has not only earned this enormous amount from his successful NBA career but also owes to his business.
