The NBA just punished player Draymond Green for five games for grabbing Rudy Gobert by the neck, so the Warriors were already without him. Prior to the guard leaving the floor, Warriors team members needed to place themselves between Paul and Foster. Foster also gave Steve Kerr, the coach of the Golden State Warriors, a technical.
It remains to be seen what happens next with the Warriors as they have not been performing up to the mark this season. With the likes of Draymond Green out with suspension, Klay Thompson ailing an injury, and Steph Curry still not at his best, Steve Kerr has a lot to deal with and get his team up and running.
Chris Paul has a vast history with NBA referee Scott Foster
It’s no secret that Chris Paul despises NBA referee Scott Foster. Throughout his career, the star point guard has been an outspoken critic of the seasoned referee, and his anger is supported by the numbers. He feels he has been unfairly treated by Foster throughout the years.
Whenever Scott Foster officiates an NBA game in which Chris Paul is playing, there has to be some kind of drama in it. Fans and many NBA experts too support Paul’s claims of Foster being harsh towards him from the the very start.
A lot of anticipation was building for Chris Paul to play against his former team, the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. However, Scott Foster, the NBA referee had different plans. He ejected Chris Paul before the first half was even completed and sent him to an early shower.
According to the Suns broadcast, Paul called Foster a “b—-.” Foster was enough incensed by what he said to send Paul to the dressing room. Paul finished the game with two rebounds, six assists, and six points according to StatMuse.
A unique but true fact is that whenever Chris Paul has played in the Playoffs and Scott Foster has officiated that game, Paul has lost almost all of those games. This stat shocks the NBA fans to this date as if there is some clear hate towards him by Foster. It remains to be seen what happens next between the two of them.
