Basketball fans should certainly want to know what Luka Doncic and Dillon Brooks did to get themselves ejected from the 2023 FIBA World Cup. As many of us should be aware, we are entering the final stages of the international tournament. Slovenia and Canada faced off in the quarter-finals. The game ended with Team Canada winning and progressing to the semi-finals.
Since many NBA fans might not have been able to watch the game, they will be surprised to hear that both Luka Donicic and Dillon Brooks were ejected from this crucial game. Thus, both of them sat on the sidelines and watched as their teammates concluded the game.
While we already know that Dillon Brooks has already built a notorious on-court reputation for himself, fans should certainly be wondering what Doncic did to be ejected from this game. With that being said, let us take a closer look and find out why both these NBA stars were ejected from the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
Canada sends Slovenia home and moves on to the FIBA World Cup Semi-Finals
Regardless of how the officiating was conducted, Team Canada proved themselves to be the better team and eliminated Slovenia. Led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring performance of 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists, Canada won the game with a final score of 100-89.

Luka Doncic and Dillon Brooks were not on the court for the final minutes of the game due to their prior behavior. Fans who were watching the game will know that Docic was ejected after receiving two technical fouls. He kept complaining to the referees every time he thought that he got fouled. Soon they had enough and ejected him for this behavior.
On the other hand, Dillon Brooks was ejected for taunting Team Slovenia mid-game. Although it is unclear what he said, it was enough for the referees to decide that he did not deserve to be a part of the game anymore. While losing Brooks might not have changed much for Team USA in the final stretches, the same cannot be said for Team Slovenia after losing Luka Doncic.

At the end of the game, Doncic made it quite clear that he was very unhappy with the way the game was officiated. Since his team lost the game after he got ejected, it is quite likely that Luka feels bitter about this whole situation. Moreover, Luka knows that Brooks will be able to return for the next game, while he will be going back home.
