It had been a while since NBA fans saw a skyhook move from any player. Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat thought it was about time to show a flashy move to the world. Jimmy Butler imitated the legendary signature move of Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar against Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls. What made it even more hilarious was how he yelled out his own shot while making it.
This had fans in for a treat. “This psychopath just yelled “skyhook” as he was doing it. I’m turning this game off,” a fan wrote on X when he took the news to his social media. While still in the air, Jimmy shouted “Sky Hook” and called his shot. The superstar of the Miami Heat then sprinted to his side of the court and grinned at his Heat teammates. Although Butler’s sky hook wasn’t as sophisticated as Abdul-Jabbar’s, it was a sight to watch.

While preventing Chicago from winning back-to-back games for the first time this season, Miami emerged victorious for the eighth time in nine games. The Bulls shot 45.7 percent from the field with 11 3-pointers on Monday, but they were unable to stop the Heat after outscoring them 34-21 in the fourth quarter on Saturday.
Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler led the Miami Heat to victory
On Monday, Bam Adebayo scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, while Duncan Robinson chipped in 22 points as the visiting Miami Heat defeated the Chicago Bulls 118-100. Against his former teammates, Jimmy Butler scored 16 points, and Adebayo recorded his eighth double-double of the year.

Because of a right ankle strain, Miami’s sharpshooter Tyler Herro missed his sixth straight game, but the team still made a season-high 17 of 35 3-pointers from the field. After Duncan Robinson drained two early 3-pointers, the Bulls fell behind 12-2 less than three minutes into the game, setting up a daunting hole for the fourth straight game in front of their home crowd. All of that, and still, Jimmy Butler’s skyhook was the main highlight of the game.
