Victor Wembanyama, the 19-year-old French rookie sensation has taken the NBA by storm. He has proven to the fans of the NBA that he has what it takes to reach the very top of this sport. Although the road to personal glory is not an easy one, many have tried but failed miserably.
Victor has lightened up the NBA with his masterful performances game by game and has proved that he is here for some serious business. He and his team the San Antonio Spurs face the Knicks at the MSG Arena. A few hours before the Spurs and Knicks tipoff, on 8th November, about thirty members of the media visited MSG to meet with Wembanyama according to New York Post.

Although while speaking to the media, Wembanyama was not too taken away by the MSG Arena, he said, “It’s not as big as I expected,” Wembanyama said about the arena, “but still the vibe is here.” This was surely a humiliating statement to make towards a team stadium/Arena.

Now after all the talk said and done, it remains to be seen how Wembanyama performs against the NY Knicks. A lot of pressure will be upon him to deliver for this particular game. Especially after the statements that he made regarding the MSG Arena.
Victor Wembanyama put up a disappointing performance at the MSG
The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 126-105 and Victor Wembanyama had one of the worst games of the young player’s career in Madison Square Garden. In the initial three quarters, the No. 1 draft pick only scored one basket.

Wembanyama, who entered the game leading all rookies in the NBA with 19.4 points per contest, pulled down nine rebounds but botched all four of his three-pointers (StatMuse). Both before and later in the game, he received some wonderful cheers yet, he also received some boos.
After the match, Wembanyama was not too upset about the results instead he was optimistic. He said, “It’s no big deal – we’re learning,” Wembanyama said. “We as a young team and any team, really, we’re going to go through losing streaks (at) some (point) during season, through tough times. The most important is how we bounce back.”
It remains to be seen how Victor Wembanyama and his team the San Antonio Spurs provide a comeback after 3 consecutive losses in the season now. A lot of eyes will be on them to deliver after these harsh defeats, especially on their rookie sensation in Wembanyama.
