The James Harden and Daryl Morey drama just does not seem to end. Harden is still with the Philadelphia 76ers despite opting into his contract with them and requesting a trade over four months ago. Daryl Morey, president of basketball operations, is still looking for a good deal. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, an NBA insider, claims that Daryl Morey wants to convert the assets the Philadelphia 76ers receive in exchange for James Harden from the Los Angeles Clippers into an All-Star guard.
Woj reported, “Morey’s motivation is, whatever he gets from the Clippers, he wants to be able to flip for another All-Star level guard that he can replace Harden with. To take a combination of whatever the Clippers give him & their own assets to go out & make a deal to replace Harden”

It cannot be denied that the ultimate objective is to pair Joel Embiid with another superstar. The duration of the MVP’s window as an elite player is uncertain because he is 29 and has a history of injuries. As the season progresses, these choices frequently become more obvious as teams examine other courses of action, sometimes resulting in the availability of senior players for trade.
However, given the date, the asking price for such players is probably going to be rather high. The Clippers believe they have the most generous offer on the market right now for Harden, but they have not been willing to part with two first-round picks in the future in exchange for a probable one-year rental of Harden.
The Los Angeles Clippers have a new plan to acquire James Harden
Harden’s favorite destination, the Los Angeles Clippers, has not impressed the Sixers with any trade proposals they have made, but LA is striving to change that. The Clippers are evaluating the worth of their unprotected first-round selection in 2028 with other teams in an effort to get numerous first-round picks to offer the 76ers.
As of now, the Sixers must remain patient. In order to get the deal over with, they shouldn’t trade Harden. Because Embiid continues to support the team’s plan to get the greatest possible return for Harden, the Sixers have the time they need to wait for the best offer to be made in exchange for The Beard.
