Mikey Williams is one of the leading basketball prospects in the United States. Unfortunately, his career was almost put into jeopardy after he was arrested over gun charges. Recently, the high school phenom made his first appearance in front of a judge. After stating his offenses, Williams pleaded not guilty. The investigation continues as the truth behind the incident is very vague.
Over a week ago, Mikey Williams was arrested at his house after being charged with assault with a deadly weapon and opening fire at an occupied vehicle. The police claimed that a fight broke out at Williams’ home after which five individuals tried to flee in a car while being shot at repeatedly. Mikey is the top suspect for the shooter but will remain innocent until proven guilty.
Williams claimed that there were some uninvited or unwanted individuals at his house that caused the issue. If Mikey were to be proven guilty, he would face 28 years in jail. The young basketball star was let go on a $50,000 bond but under the condition that he will be not in possession of weapons or any sort of ammunition. A verdict will be given in June due to ongoing investigations.

Recently, he was spotted throwing down massive dunks at the Capital Classic Tournament. This Tournament is somewhat of an All-Star Game but for high school recruits. Mikey seems like he is in form and ready to compete given the chance. In high school, he proved himself as an exceptional scorer of the ball. Mikey holds several scoring records in the San Deigo District.
Williams also played alongside LeBron James‘ son, Bronny James. They played for the North Coast Blue Chips in the AAU. Mikey dominated the court and is still ranked as a five-star recruit. High schoolers don’t often find as much success as Mikey has. His net worth is also worth millions with the insane endorsements he has with Puma and Cash App.
