The 2023 March Madness tournament was undoubtedly one of the best in history. The entire world witnessed brilliance and greatness displayed by young athletes who were eager to make a name for themselves on one of the biggest stages. It wasn’t any different with Hailey Van Lith, Caitlin Clark, and Angel Reese.
LSU’s Angel Reese helped the Tigers win the NCAA women’s championship in a sensational game against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. The final game was a treat for fans to watch. It had a bit of everything, from Caitlin’s sensational shooting to LSU’s superstars stepping up, and Angel bringing her A-game in trash-talking.
The Hawkeyes fell to the Tigers and lost the game 102-85. Although Caitlin put up 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 8 assists, it wasn’t enough for the Hawkeyes to come out on top. Caitlin was even dubbed “Stephanie Curry” for her ability to hit the net from deep without any major difficulty. This reminded fans of a certain someone in the NBA; Stephen Curry.

Caitlin’s prowess was not enough for the Hawkeyes to bring down the Tigers this year. With that said, some believe that Hailey could transfer to Iowa to join hands with Caitlin. Recently, Hailey entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, to leave Louisville.
Which college will Hailey Van Lith go to?
Hailey has not been a name that we have heard as much as Caitlin or Angel. Make no mistake, she was one of the best players at the March Madness tournament this year and often stood out among the Louisville Cardinals players.
Van Lith is a sensational scorer who could be of help to the Hawkeyes. But the main issue might be the fact that Caitlin is ball-dominant in most scenarios. She is also a player who likes to hold onto the ball to dictate plays, and this could be a problem. She has averaged 19.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, proving herself as a deadly scorer.

Apart from Iowa, LSU has been rumored to be an option as well. LSU has one of the best teams in women’s basketball. The team is not lacking in any scorers, especially when they have Alexis Morris. However, Kim Mulkey might be enough to lure Hailey, as the former Baylor head coach has been the talk of the town since LSU’s win.
Hailey has not revealed her decision, but it certainly looks like she would want to take a step forward. Hence, the basketball world would have to wait and see how this plays out for the young superstar, and who she teams up with for next year’s tournament.
