SUMMARY
- Bronny James currently plays for the USC Trojans and is undoubtedly eyeing the NBA later in his career.
- LeBron James' son's rumored scouting report has been making waves on social media because of one minor detail.
Bronny James has made a name for himself in the basketball world as one of the top emerging talents. But the pressure of the legendary LeBron James being his father must be mentioned as well. The NBA star’s presence has surely placed the spotlight on Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri from day one. But both Bronny and Bryce have shown that they have inherited some talent from their father.
The 19-year-old proved when he was a Sierra Canyon player that he was a great defender and was often the best among his teammates. Other than that, Bronny’s IQ on the floor, vision, and playmaking are what make him truly stand out from other players. But this was not what was reported in a recent X post that has made rounds.

An X account, with the name ‘NBAMemes,’ mentioned that Bronny’s scouting report included “Comes with LeBron on a cheap contract.” The truth behind this rumor is that this looks to have been edited, as no recent scouting report of Bronny mentions the same.
LeBron James’ NBA move to decide Bronny’s future?
It is no secret now that King James’ future is currently hanging in the balance as well. The player recently mentioned that his goal would be to retire with the LA Lakers. But the outcome of the 2023-24 NBA season would be a deciding factor as well. With that said, he has also claimed in the past that his dream is to play on the same team as his son.

Recent reports mention that NBA teams could draft Bronny in a bid to get LeBron to join them. His current contract runs through the 2024-25 season and he may be looking for a new home if Lakers’ struggles continue.
Bronny James’ stats for USC so far
The youngster’s basketball career was in major doubt after he suffered a cardiac arrest in July 2023. His name was added to the long list of young athletes who suffered a heart attack despite having no history in their families. This sparked huge controversy in the sporting world, as many were trying to figure out what could have been the reason for Bronny’s cardiac arrest.

Before fans even knew it, the young star made his way back to the basketball court, and made his debut for USC in December, just a few months after the setback. Although it was impressive that he managed to work his way back, his on-court performances have been rather underwhelming so far.
He is currently averaging 5.7 points, 2.6 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game in 18 games started for USC so far. That also includes 35-96 FGM/A (.365%). It must be mentioned that he still has quite a long way to go, but declaring for the NBA Draft seems like a stretch right now.
