It’s been a long time since the NBA world witnessed Andrew Wiggins rock the Golden State Warriors jersey. He has been on the sidelines due to family issues. The last game he played was on February 13, against the Washington Wizards. The Warriors have played 12 games without Wiggins this season.
“I was told last night Andrew Wiggins likely doesn’t return for the season.”

Fans have been waiting for the former ROTY winner, but it looks like they would have to wait a little longer. Recently, Colin Cowherd mentioned on ‘The Herd’ that Wiggins is likely to not return by the end of this season. This is heartbreaking news for Warriors fans, which is understandable because of how vital he is to the team.
What does Andrew Wiggins’ absence mean for the Golden State Warriors’ title hopes?
Wiggins joined the Dubs in 2020 and took very little time to adjust. He was one of the best players for the Warriors when they won the title in 2022. He is averaging 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 37 games this season.
Do the Warriors have any chance of competing for a title without Wiggins returning this season?

Steve Kerr’s play style depends on the movement and passing of each player on the team. Their pick-and-roll tactic might seem a little old-fashioned, but it’s how quick and advanced the Warriors do that makes it so effective. Moreover, they have two of the best shooters in the NBA in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Wiggins adjusted to this and hit back at critics after winning the NBA title as well. In his absence, Jordan Poole might have to step up. Although he doesn’t play the same role as Wiggins, Poole surely has the shooting ability locked in. So much so that fans even label him the “Third Splash Brother.”
Wiggins is a good defender, but his versatility is what makes him an exceptional player. The Canadian can drive to the rim and put down a poster and can hit a three-pointer from deep as well.
Heartbroken Warriors fans would be worried about their title hopes. But Klay and Steph’s recent form could mean that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. The NBA world is aware of how GSW performs in the playoffs, and it will surely be interesting to see how they fare without Wiggins in the postseason.
