Jordan Hawkins has positioned himself well in the basketball community. The 19-year-old athlete won the 2023 NCAA trophy and brought praise to his family name for their excellence in the field of sports. Yes, he comes from a family full of athletes as well, which makes complete sense for his raw talent. Despite having a few downs during his basketball journey, Hawkins always manages to bounce back on top.

Jordan Hawkins popped onto the scene in a very flashy way. He is an incredibly gifted 6″5 ft player who works the offense just as well as the defense. His mindset to win is on a whole new level and this is precisely what helped the UConn Huskies gain momentum to hit the ultimate goal. Jordan Hawkins grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland
Jordan Hawkins was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where most of his family resides. Born on April 29, 2002, the UConn champion was welcomed by Jasmine and Craig Hawkins. There aren’t too many details about the superstar’s parents but all we know is they are incredibly supportive of his endeavors. Jordan also has three siblings, all girls named Chynna, Alexis, and Paris.

Jordan Hawkins enrolled at Gaithersburg High School, where he laid the foundation for his extraordinary path to sports stardom. Hawkins decided to transfer to another school during his sophomore year and at DeMatha Catholic High School, he became a star recruit and was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Maryland as well. He averaged 19.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game and Hawkins was also a marquee defensive player.
After giving basketball his all and earning a name for himself in high-school, Jordan Hawkins had to make a tough decision. After finishing highschool, he had to decide where he wanted to commit to a college. There were four offers waiting for him that included Louisville and Marquette. He ended up choosing to commit to UConn which worked out for the better for him.
Hawkins had the opportunity to be coached by one of the best college coaches around, Dan Hurley. As it is famously known, the Hurley family has a history of winning and Dan knew what had to be done.
