Jordan Hawkins is an outstanding individual who is shaping up to become the next leader in the sport of basketball. Only a very few get recognition for the amount of hard work they put on the floor. The youngster has already surpassed expectations. It is only a small matter of time before he shifts gears and turns into a serious threat on the basketball court.
Jordan Hawkins committed to the University of Connecticut and joined forces with the UConn Huskies basketball team. There he put up below-average numbers of 5.8 points, 2 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. The guard has had problems staying healthy sometimes but managed to overcome them instantly. During his second year, Hawkins bounced back with 16.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, ultimately winning the NCAA title in 2023.

Jordan Hawkins comes from a very athletic family but his talent is a result of his own hard work. He was born to Jasmine and Craig Hawkins on April 29, 2002, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He spent most of his life there and learned to ball there as well. Jordan’s career began when he was in high school and he was as impressive as he is today, averaging numbers much like legendary NBA stars.

He attended Gaithersburg High School and completed a good chunk of his education there. Eventually, he chose to attend DeMatha Catholic High School, where he began to excel in the sport. He averaged 19.7 points along with 11.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Hawkins was also a very impressive player defensively, putting up 2.3 steals and 1.9 blocks per game as well. He was named Maryland’s Gatorade Player of the Year for his outstanding performances.
Jordan Hawkin’s efforts paid off and he reeled in multiple offers from big-time colleges like Louisville, Marquette, and more. But he chose what was best for him and committed to the University of Connecticut, which is fairly close to his hometown as well. Now with an NCAA title under his belt, the youngster has become a leading prospect to enter the big leagues.

Jordan Hawkins is not the only one with the title. Not everybody is aware that he is related to Angel Reese from LSU. She also helped the LSU Tigers pull off an amazing victory in the 2023 NCAA Finals against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Their families are blessed to have children so talented, bringing praise to their names.
