Malik Beasley has been a great role player in the NBA for a few years now. The Los Angeles Lakers played an integral part in the team’s success during the 2023 playoffs. He entered the league back in 2016 and was drafted by the Denver Nuggets. Beasley eventually played for the Minnesota Timberwolves for a few seasons before moving to Utah and then Los Angeles.
To say the least, he’s had a fairly successful career. But his personal life has been a bit turbulent over the years. Malik Beasley married Montana Yao, a model from Pasadena, California. They met in 2018 and carried their relationship for a couple of years before Beasley ended up marrying her in 2020. Together they had two children as well.
Yao is a professional model who formerly worked with Zara and other well-known fashion brands. She even won a teen beauty pageant back in 2016 and her modeling career had blown up ever since. Much like Beasley, Montana also had a love for sports but felt that modeling was where her skills were best. Even though the couple have been living happily together, they did have a rough patch that cause a brief separation.

In 2020, a few months after getting married in a private ceremony, Malik Beasley was spotted holding hands with Larsa Pippen, ex-wife of Scottie Pippen. Larsa had been involved in several controversial affairs at that time which also influenced Scottie to leave her. But this incident briefly tore apart Montana and Beasley. Yao decided to file for divorce after the photos of Beasley and Larsa went viral on social media.

Following the incident and after Yao filed for divorce, Beasley publicly apologized to her saying, “I wanna say sorry for putting you in the situation you were put in the last few months.” He continued, “My head wasn’t where it was supposed to be.. I was looking for more when it was right here that whole time.” His affair with Larsa did not last for long as they split up in 2021, a few months after being spotted together.

However, it was later revealed that Malik and Montana worked things out and continued to stay in their marriage. They were briefly separated but reconciled eventually. His attorney revealed that their divorce case remained inactive for a very long time as well.
