Only a few athletes are extremely dedicated to their craft and one of them is LeBron James. While sportspersons have a love for what they do, the well-seasoned veteran’s desire to play the game is different. He has been actively competing since 2003, which makes 20 years since he made his professional debut. And after all that he’s done for the game of basketball, fans now view him as arguably the greatest of all time.
It is no secret that the 19x All-Star invests a lot of money and time into his body. Mainly because he wants to compete for as long as he can. James is currently in his 21st season in the league and people are astonished by the fact that he still plays like a 20-year-old.
The Los Angeles Lakers forward is on the brink of turning 40 years old but still manages to outplay most youngsters in the league. Last season, he appeared in 55 games averaging 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game.
In addition to this, LeBron James can take damage really well. Even though this has proven to be a problem lately, he still manages to endure and cause damage. James has one of the best physiques in the league as well. He trains relentlessly during the off-season and gives frequent updates on social media. But over the years, people have wondered if the NBA’s all-time points leader uses performance-enhancing drugs.
There is no evidence against LeBron James despite being linked to the PED scandal
A couple of weeks ago, a PED scandal involving Ernest Mims and David Alexander resurfaced after an entire decade. Both these individuals are associates of LeBron James which automatically brought the athlete under public scrutiny. Mims, who engaged with James in various business deals, and David, one of his former trainers were mentioned report that claimed they purchased PEDs.
However, based on various reports, both individuals never distributed the PEDs they had purchased to anybody associated with them. Additionally, there were no indications of LeBron James using PEDs at any time during his career. James claimed that he did not know that his associates were involved in this case and he wasn’t aware of his linkage either.
But recently, profound business Patrick Bet David accused James of PED usage a very interesting take, “You can’t get away with eating sh*tty things…You could get away with it in your early 20s. You can’t get away with it in your 30s. 35, 38, 39, (your) body changes a little bit. … He’s always eating cookies, he’s always eating ice cream and you look like that, you know fine.”
Given that the NBA has strict rules against PEDs and other drugs, if LeBron James were guilty of it, the world would’ve known about it by now. The league conducts drug tests at random under the suspension of PED usage if a player has sudden outbursts. James is innocent based on what’s known.
