SUMMARY
- WWE recently organized WrestleMania 40 kickoff press conference, and it was absolutely spectacular.
- Alongside the Cody Rhodes storyline, another thing that caught fans attention was Michael Cole's surprising statement mentioning Vince McMahon.
WWE has been facing a lot of negativity ever since Janel Grant filed a s*xual assault lawsuit against Vince McMahon. But all that changed after the company held a WrestleMania kickoff press conference. It was an exceptional event, and it just took the excitement of The Show of Shows to an extreme level.
While the highlight of the show was Cody Rhodes’ decision to choose Roman Reigns as his opponent, there was another thing that caught fans’ attention. It was something that didn’t involve anyone from the main event scene, as it started after Michael Cole made surprising comments regarding Pat McAfee’s in-ring record at WrestleMania.

They were both hosting the show alongside CM Punk and Big E when Cole mentioned Pat to be undefeated at WrestleMania. As the YouTube star lost to Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania 38, this statement by the Monday Night RAW commentator left everyone shocked.
Moreover, people started questioning if this was really WWE’s way of revealing that they have officially erased Vince’s win against McAfee. Whether it was done intentionally or not isn’t yet known, but Michael’s comments about the company’s former CEO have taken the industry by storm.
Has WWE really erased Pat McAfee’s match against Vince McMahon?
As soon as Michael Cole stated that his fellow commentator had been undefeated at The Show of Shows, the fans were left confused. Moreover, they started wondering if the Stamford-based promotion had erased Pat McAfee’s match against Vince McMahon.
In this regard, it must be noted that even though Cole mentioned that Pat hasn’t ever faced a loss at WrestleMania, the company hasn’t done that. The reason is that McAfee’s bio on the official WWE website still mentions his WrestleMania 38 bout against Vincent. It, in fact, makes it clear that the organization hasn’t really pulled the trigger on eradicating their former CEO from the company’s history.
What are Janel Grant’s allegations against Mr. McMahon?
While it’s true that all these attempts to cut off all ties with Vince started after a lawsuit was filed against him, some fans aren’t that aware of the suit. A lot of people still wonder what exactly Janel Grant’s allegations against Mr. McMahon are.
To answer the same question, the female figure accused the 78-year-old legend of s*xually assaulting her. In addition to this, Janel also claimed in the suit that the former WWE CEO used her for s*x trafficking. These claims are serious in their own way, but these aren’t the only things she accused the veteran of doing.
In fact, Grant claimed that she was used to sign Brock Lesnar back to the promotion, as Mr. McMahon shared her explicit pictures with The Beast. Amid this entire matter, the company has also distanced itself from the former Universal Champion, and his future with the organization looks quite unclear.
Amid this lawsuit, the organization faced a lot of negativity, and that’s probably a major reason why Kennedy resigned from his TKO position. But it must be noted that the pro wrestling veteran stated that he’s innocent and he’ll defend himself. Despite this statement, as things stand currently, it seems like his association with the Triple H-led promotion is over.
