SUMMARY
- Lewis Hamilton showed signs of becoming a generational talent at the age of 12.
- The seven-time world champion managed to win tens of trophies before the start of his teen years.
Lewis Hamilton has been an overachiever for most of his life, going from being a kid with a dream of reaching the top to becoming the only other seven-time World Champion. However, it is not just his F1 journey that is the most impressive yet. While his achievements in F1’s history make up the sport that it is today, it was his brilliance that shined when he was only karting.
Hamilton has achieved major success in and out of the sport. Being a brand, the driver is seen indulging in many ventures apart from his racing career. From his non-alcoholic beverage brand, Almave to the charity organization for STEM, Mission 44, the champion has done a lot for the sport and outside it. Nevertheless, he will always be remembered for his incredible runs in the sport.
Lewis Hamilton holds an incredible achievement at the age of 12
Lewis Hamilton has been a major subject of the public eye ever since his rookie days after winning his first championship in only his second year in F1. The Briton has managed to win seven World Championship titles, and 103 race wins in his 13 years in F1. But it was long back when Hamilton had proven what his brilliance and drive for the sport is capable of achieving.
While Hamilton struggled to be where he is today and win championships, the driver also suffered at the hands of racial abuse as a kid making his way through karting. However, it did not stop him from proving what he can do if he ever finds himself making it to Formula 1. Although he was sponsored by McLaren for his F1 rookie season, it was when he was a kid that he made history already.

The champion was interviewed during his karting days for being one of the most “talented young drivers in motor racing.” While he was still battling in karting, Hamilton had already won 98 silverware from all of the races he participated in and proved he was only planning to make history moving forward. He was also called one of the “future Formula 1 drivers” during the interview as they displayed his achievements.
Considering his achievements when he was only a youngster starting in motorsports and hoping to make it, the driver soon made his way to F1 and became a seven-time champion. Continuing his legacy and plans to break the record by winning his 8th title, the Briton has now moved to Ferrari for the 2025 season.
Hamilton talks about his final year at Mercedes
Mercedes launched their 2024 livery in February, bringing back the silver championship-winning livery with a mix of black for the W15. However, this livery launch would be one of Hamilton’s last times with his team of 11 years. As he plans on shifting to the Prancing Horse team for the 2025 season alongside Charles Leclerc, the champion had an emotional moment with the Silver Arrows team.
When talking about the livery launch of the promising W15, Hamilton talked about his last time launching the Mercedes car livery, saying, “It’s obviously been emotional”.
