SUMMARY
- Ferrari's biggest 2024 revelation yet leads to mixed feelings from the Tifosi.
- After enduring a series of underwhelming seasons, fans are yearning for a massive comeback from Ferrari in 2024.
The 2024 season called for major changes throughout the grid with teams like Stake F1 Team and Visa Cash App Racing Bulls making an appearance. However, as the car launches come closer, Ferrari gives the Tifosi a scare with a hint of a ‘name change’. While the ominous hint left many worried about a team name change, the Monza team announced the name of the 2024 car.
Fans waited for the new year religiously as they stayed loyal to the Prancing Horse outfit and their failed strategies that gave them enough reasons to root for someone else. Nevertheless, it seems fans were not too excited after finding the name of the 2024 car. Scuderia announced their car name to be SF24, similar to the SF23 that saw a race win and a consistent failed result.
Fans call out Ferrari for their recycled ‘originality’
Although Ferrari released the name of their car, fans were disappointed with the ongoing series, SF24, being the challenger for 2024. The name derives from Scuderia Ferrari and the year 2024 just like their 2023 challenger. Although the team had a change in the name with the F1-75 to celebrate their 75th anniversary, they have since stuck to the “SF” chronicals.
Meanwhile, fans were rather disappointed with the name and bashed the team on X. One fan said, “Please win a title.” Another fan commented, “Please be a good car.” with hopes of watching the team have a competitive year with Red Bull.

While another user went on to talk about the issues with having yet another “SF” car for the season. They commented, “Not the SF again we already went through SF1000 SF21, and SF23.” However, another fan of the Monza team had completely lost hope for the 2024 season, saying, “The more time passes the less optimistic I get about the season haha, prove me wrong!”
One fan had a rather sarcastic take on the “new” name for the car, as they commented, “That’s very original.” One fan commented about the technical issues that Ferrari has witnessed throughout the 2023 season saying, “Same cr**py strategies?”
However, amidst the new car name, one fan got the scare of a lifetime after believing Ferrari was about to change their team name to match the new Visa Cash App RB or V-CARB team names. The Scuderia fan commented, “Oh I thought you were changing your team name & I got PTSD from Stake Kick and V-CARB.”
Although it isn’t everything fans wished for, many were happy to not have a car like the F1-75 that brought Charles Leclerc race wins and made him the vice-champion in 2022.
