Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are known to have a complicated relationship. While they support each other’s successes, the two have engaged in some of the most intense battles. It started with their 2021 season when Verstappen beat Hamilton to the championship. Although Verstappen now is in his own league, it has not stopped Verstappen from wanting what Hamilton has achieved.
As of now, Lewis Hamilton is the only active driver to hold the record of a seven-championship title. He has also done a lot for this sport. But as Max Verstappen dominates the sport, it is only natural to believe he may not stop anytime soon. The Dutchman has been in a league of his own this season with 17 wins in a single season.
When Max Verstappen was asked if would want to be a seven-time champion, he said, “Would I like to win seven? Yeah, why not? But even if I don’t win seven, I know that there are still so many more things in life than F1. I’m already very happy with what I have achieved.”

Although he has won three championships already, he seems to have more in store for himself. However, the Dutchman also has a lot of other things outside the sport to take care of. The star has been known for working on Sim Racing projects and more. For Verstappen, F1 is not his entire life and he hopes to leave the sport to pursue other paths.
Max Verstappen reminisces about his first win in 2016
Max Verstappen has been known for his dominance. Ever since the very beginning, the driver has never given up. His determination and hunger to win is one to note. The passion that the Dutchman brings to the sport is what many have watched grow in Verstappen’s heart.
Nonetheless, it was a long time before Verstappen got to win a race. Although he won his first championship in 2021 beating Hamilton, his first win was something much more special. The driver was at Red Bull after moving from Toro Rosso. Being only a rookie, Verstappen had a lot more to do to catch up.
“Turn 4 was a beautiful corner that day in lap 1 when two Mercedes cars just disappeared off the road” – Max Verstappen talking about his first win at the 2016 Spanish GP.

It was also the same time when Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were at Mercedes. The two have been known for their rivalry and the cutthroat competition that they have participated in. However, it was not the best time for Rosberg as he was fighting to win one championship against his champion teammate.
Their rivalry quickly escalated on the tracks as both of them took each other out. This gave Verstappen his first victory. The driver recently talked about it saying, “Turn 4 was a beautiful corner that day in lap 1 when two Mercedes cars just disappeared off the road”
That Spanish GP became Verstappen’s most special day.
