The Scuderia team recently disclosed that Arthur Leclerc, Charles’s younger brother, will debut with the team in 2024. The Monegasque confirmed on Instagram that he will take on the role of a development driver for Ferrari. Moreover, he will actively participate in the GT3 series for Scuderia Baldini 27.
In the previous campaign, the Driver Academy had to let go of Arthur but also assured his ongoing connection with the Ferrari team. Lately, there was a clarification that Arthur Leclerc will act as a reserve driver, sharing development duties with Antonio Fuoco and Davide Rigon. The young driver will actively engage in tasks such as simulation, providing feedback for car enhancements, and participating in test sessions.
Arthur Leclerc followed Charles to Ferrari
Arthur Leclerc will kick off his responsibilities by testing the Ferrari F1-75 for Pirelli tires for the 2024 season. It has been reported that the older Leclerc brother and his Prancing Horse teammate, Carlos Sainz will be a part of the extensive testing session with the older SF-23. On Instagram, Arthur Leclerc expressed his joy about joining Ferrari, especially alongside his talented brother.

The young Monegasque stated, “We did so many races in karts together! One thing is sure and I know he thinks like me: when we put the helmet on and lower the visor, even Charles is my rival, no more my brother!” while sharing the good news. For junior drivers like Arthur, coming close to the pinnacle of motorsports and driving for an F1 team is something one could only dream of.
The driver has a soft spot for tracks like Monza and Imola, as he expressed his love for Italian circuits while representing an Italian team.
Charles Leclerc reveals his ideal future teammate
Within the 2023 F1 season, Charles Leclerc shared his dream of taking part in the Le Mans 24 Hours race alongside his brother, Arthur Leclerc. The brothers are part of the Ferrari family, and in an Autosport interview, Charles Leclerc expressed a desire to personally race on the historic track, preferably with a special teammate.

However, as per Charles, “It’s definitely something I want to do one day, and with my brother for sure. But I don’t know if this will happen.” He went on to add, “There’s Antonio [Fuoco] also, he’s part of the Ferrari family. He is one of my best friends and we grew up together. He is already training for that day. Let’s see if it’s possible.”
Charles has an elaborate plan to form a trio with his brother Arthur and finish the lineup with Antonio Fuoco. Fuoco had been Leclerc’s teammate at PREMA in 2017.
