Red Bull has been known for their consecutive victories and the dominant car this season. They have taken Championships and won left and right. But with this winning title and a Championship car comes a few scandals. And Red Bull may not be able to drive away from this one.
Recently, Red Bull announced that they have already started working on their car for the 2024 Formula 1 season. But soon enough everyone started talking about Red Bull’s budget in 2021.
It took quite a few years before Lance Armstrong was brought to “book”. How much longer is this #F1xed Shit 💩 Show gonna last before death trump’s these #RedBullCheats, fuckers. pic.twitter.com/7Gy8l0ZEJp

First the #F1nancialDoping penalty was “draconian”. Now, it’s going to “massively affect” the 2024 car.
Yeah, of course it will. #RedBullCheats have the gaslight out again… 🙄https://t.co/8upPWB8tKZ

Turns out that the budget for the car had exceeded the cost cap by $2 million. Fans had not been happy with the fact that they had been able to get away with something like this.
Christian Horner contradicts Ted Kravitz over the Red Bull penalty
Ted Kravitz, the reporter for Sky Sports talked about the accepted breach agreement saying,
“You know they have already got the advantage with this year’s car. We are not even halfway into the season. And already they can have the capacity and the aerodynamic testing time and the wind tunnel time. Even considering the penalty for the accepted breach agreement on the cost cap, to concentrate on next year’s car. So it’s a virtuous circle having such a good car this year.”
He called out Red Bull for breaching the regulations and took a dig at them saying,
“It might end up that the cost cap breach, accepted breach agreement, and the penalty with the 10% less wind tunnel time that red bull had might not end up being a penalty at all because if they can start now on next year’s car there’s not gonna be a penalty at all, is it? So all that fuss early on last year turned out to not be a fuss and looks like it is not going to affect red bull at all.”

This turns out, was also a dig at the team principal of Red Bull Christian Horner, who had said, “I think it could affect, for sure, the current development of the car and maybe close the grid this year. But also it will affect massively next year’s car.” after receiving a penalty over the cost cap. They have received a reduction in their Aerodynamic Testing Time and will be given lesser time than the other teams for developing their car.
After all this time, Christian Horner’s words may have backfired. And if he has a problem he is going to need to change his car. While Horner says that the penalty might affect the development of the car, everyone else thinks otherwise. People have expressed how Red Bull has received a massive advantage every year since 2021. And it may not be any different next year.
