Max Verstappen and the Red Bull team have won almost everything this season, with their F1 Constructor’s Championship already secured and the Dutchman having his third championship added to his lines of trophy. Although they have everything secured for themselves for 2023, the other 9 teams are still fighting the very last race of the season to secure a position.
Mercedes and Ferrari are only four points away as they fight each other for the P2 and the McLaren and Aston Martin team get crucial points for themselves in order to get better results. Meanwhile, for Williams, AlphaTauri, Alfa Romeo, and Haas, the teams have been struggling to fix themselves on the better of the bottom four positions.
Where does the prize money come from?
However, Alpine is the only constructor other than Red Bull to have secured sixth place in the championship by being 92 points ahead of Williams but 193 points behind Aston Martin. While this may be the last chance for all the teams to get themselves a better position, even a slight difference of falling down by just one position can make a team lose millions of dollars in a go.
However, the prize money that every single team gets based on their position in the constructor championship has been kept a secret for a long time. According to the Concorde agreement, the price pot comes from 50% of F1 commercial rights profit.

Nonetheless, the teams are not always open to receiving the 50%. The 2022 season has become a good example of understanding the price distribution. The price pot was decided to be $1.157 billion after the total revenue of $2.57 billion was recorded.
These payments were supposed to be shared equally, however, Ferrari would receive 5% more from the price pot thanks to their historical significance in Formula 1. Meanwhile, teams like Mercedes receive more money considering their streak of 8 constructors Championship.
List of prize money that the teams will receive for the 2023 season:
First place in the F1 constructor championship
Red Bull will prepare themselves to receive a whopping &140 million which would be 14% of the pot and an additional $5 million dollars for the 2023 cost cap budget. This would be the price that they receive for the constructor championship especially considering the fact that Red Bull has finally secured the dream of having a 1–2 in the championship standings.
Their dominance has already surprised people although there once was a lot of noise around the second driver getting a P2, nonetheless, Sergio Perez prevailed and managed to hold off Lewis Hamilton and secure the Red Bull dream in Formula One.
Second place in the F1 Constructor Championship
Although the second place has not quite been confirmed while two teams namely, Mercedes and Ferrari have been fighting to secure a better position, and Ferrari visibly has the upper hand with their driver Charles Leclerc managing to grab a front-row ticket for his last F1 outing this season, Mercedes will have a lot more at stake to win the second position.

However, the second place will bring the winning team $131 million, and considering Mercedes’s past winnings and Ferrari’s historical and legendary hold on F1 the two could receive additional money apart from the price pot.
Third place in the F1 Constructor Championship
Ferrari and Mercedes are the only ones fighting against each other to hopefully get a better place in the championship, although one of them may fall back on the third place. As per the results that have been witnessed during the Abu Dhabi qualification, Ferrari seems to have a better chance of securing a P2 than Mercedes.
However, Mercedes is still four points ahead which in turn leaves George Russell and Lewis Hamilton to get as good results as possible and maintain at least a point’s gap to secure the P2. Nonetheless, the third place comes with an estimated $122 Million for the winning team in the third place.
Fourth place in the F1 Constructor Championship
The fourth place has a price of $113 million giving McLaren a boost for the 2024 season after a remarkable turnover in the 2023 season and giving the star driver, Lando Norris seven podiums in a single season.
Just as in the driver’s, P4 in the constructors championship is also up in the air.
McLaren, inevitably streaking clear and sealing that P4 spot has been halted by Aston Martin’s comeback in the last 2 races.

However, the Papaya team is only 11 points ahead of Aston Martin who at first saw an incredible run in the F1 outing but soon degraded and were thrown back behind all the competitive teams.
Third place in the F1 Constructor Championship
Meanwhile, Aston Martin will be gripping onto McLaren and trying their best to chop down on the 11 points that keep them apart.
Aston Martin has the last chance to secure a fourth position. Nonetheless, they still stand in fifth place which will give them $104 million as a prize for finishing in the top five position.
Sixth place in the F1 Constructor Championship
Meanwhile, Alpine who is 153 points behind Aston Martin but 92 points ahead of Williams has secured their sixth place apart from Red Bull and will be taking $95 million for the sixth place.
They are the only team to have secured a place in the Championship and being safe from a competition or a fight takes their position away.
Seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth place in the F1 Constructor Championship
The seventh place comes with a price of $87 million, the eighth place comes with $78 million, the ninth place brings in $69 million while the 10th place brings in $60 million for the team Alfa Romeo, AlphaTauri, Haas, and Williams who are still in the running to secure the better of the last four positions that have been left for them.

AlphaTauri saw one of the biggest turnovers for them in the season as Daniel Ricciardo came back after recovering from his crash. The team got the most crucial points which gave them 16 points in the constructor championship helping them move two positions ahead leaving Haas and Alfa Romeo in the back.
However, Williams has struggled to get a good result although Alex Albon has shown great promise to the team their rookie driver, Logan Sargeant has been playing bumpy cars more than driving for Formula 1, putting them in a vulnerable position as they would have to fight against Alfa Romeo, Haas and AlphaTauri to secure the seventh position and leave the three to determine the last three positions.
