The Netflix documentary series on the on-track drama and behind the scenes of Formula 1, Drive to Survive has grown a lot in terms of popularity as a direct impact of the increased viewership in the sport. It has successfully managed to capture the nits and grits and a few incidents that caused a lot of controversy upon its release, like the one that involved Haas team principal Guenther Steiner and rookie driver Mick Schumacher.
According to sports business expert Joe Pompliano, Netflix has begun a new journey with a Golf series starring a Formula 1 driver, building on this stratospheric success.
An unusual partnership involving Formula 1, Netflix, and golf is expected to be tested at the highly anticipated 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Pompliano made a post that said, “Netflix is kicking off the Las Vegas GP by hosting its first live sports event — a golf match between F1 drivers & PGA players.”
