There have been a lot of rumors concerning the Aston Martin F1 team. Recently, news broke out that Aston Martin Lagonda sold $310 million worth of shares. This has supported the rumor of a change in the driver lineup.
There have been a lot of inconsistencies between the performances of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. At the beginning of the season, while Alonso was busy fighting for podiums, Lance Stroll barely made it to a points finish. There is no doubt that there has been a monumental difference between the 2 drivers. This has brought a lot of criticism towards Lance Stroll.
One of the main reasons for Lance Stroll still having a seat in F1 is his father. Lawrence Stroll is the chairperson of the Aston Martin board. He played a huge part in bringing Aston Martin into F1. It has been speculated that he did this just to ensure that his son has a seat in the sport.

However, the board members seem to be getting impatient with the Canadian’s performance. For the past few weeks, there have been a number of rumors of changes being made within the team. According to the rumors, Lance Stroll will be on his way out of the team as he is not able to match Alonso’s pace in the same car.
While Stroll should ideally be in the prime of his career, Fernando Alonso is in his retirement age and is still able to perform much better than Stroll. It will not be good for the team if they retain Lance Stroll while he is performing like this.
What happens to Lawrence Stroll’s $276 million Aston Martin HQ?
This year, Aston Martin switched to their new $276 million HQ in Silverstone. This was an investment made by Lawrence Stroll in an attempt to improve the team. If Lawrence Stroll leaves the team, it is speculated that Aston Martin will assume control of the HQ. If the HQ was completely paid by Stroll, Aston Martin would buy it from him.
Relocating after just one season does not make any sense for the team. If Lawrence Stroll is being bought out, the new HQ will also be bought from him. That is the only logical scenario. If this is the case, it is likely that Lance Stroll will also be replaced in the team. Yuki Tsunoda has been a prospect for Aston Martin since they announced their partnership with Honda.

Nothing confirmed, but:
Fall of the Aston Martin is horrendous. Lance Stroll frustrated in F1. No place for Alonso anywhere else as he already burned all bridges. #F1 https://t.co/dZxN11fPcf pic.twitter.com/IoGa1RxHeh
