The CEO of Mclaren Racing, Zak Brown recently made a few bold remarks on their future plans of adding a few world championship titles to their name. Brown also highlighted the critical role that McLaren has to play in retaining Lando Norris’ commitment for the long term and emphasized the significance of the team’s ability to win the F1 world championship.
In a strategic move, Brown granted his approval for the construction of a cutting-edge wind tunnel and forefront simulator in their possession. The completion of these assignments, in the American CEO’s opinion, will fix any major weaknesses and leave the team fully furnished as it pursues its goal of winning championships in the upcoming seasons. Sadly, for the Surrey-based team, the changes won’t be fruitful for them until 2025.
⚠️ | McLaren have title aspirations, says Zak Brown:
“We’ll have everything we need by January 1st to be a World Championship team.
“We have new people coming in, which should be another contributor to performance.”

The freshly recruited team principal, Andrea Stella, conducted an in-depth assessment of the working design department all over the winter break. The selection of Ferrari’s David Sanchez along with seasoned engineer Rob Marshall, who brought with him an extensive body of expertise from his tenure at Red Bull, indicated an essential overhaul of the leadership structure and staged a transition of their current MCL60 model incorporating pieces of this restructured design.
Can McLaren win the World Championship?
McLaren’s remarkable gains during the summer enabled driver Lando Norris to secure consecutive P2 podium positions in both the British Grand Prix as well as the Hungarian Grand Prix for which he restated his unshakable loyalty to the team. Consequently, McLaren’s recent victories have a lot of relevance in their attempt to keep Norris satisfied and in the team.
🗣️ | Zak Brown: “Lando is ready to win. But I think he now sees signs that it’s coming, we keep him very in the know of everything that’s going on.” 👀

Although this kind of progress has been produced, Norris and Brown are still waiting for a title, as stated by Brown. The British driver’s sense of attachment to McLaren, which has grown over time, undoubtedly builds up the team’s place as his primary option for seeking a World Championship win. Regardless of that, In his truthful review of the MCL60, Norris often pointed out its flaws, particularly its mediocre steering in slow-speed turns.
Red Bull continues to be the undisputed leader in the current Formula 1 season. They substantially dominate both the world championships for drivers and for constructors. Despite his deserved finish as the championship’s runner-up, Sergio Perez and his teammate, Max Verstappen, are separated by a large gap of 125 points. Recognizing the predicament, Zak Brown emphasizes the desire for a change in the dynamics by competing for the championship title to foster a more stimulating competition.
