Who is Jack Doherty?
Jack Doherty is a 20-year-old American vlogger and streamer, who began his career on YouTube in 2016. Initially, he posted a video of himself flipping markers. The video surprisingly gained massive popularity. As a result, all his future videos began receiving thousands of views.
Over the past few years, his content mainly focuses on harassing and provoking strangers in the presence of a bodyguard. Although he has been a part of various controversies and stunts, the most significant ones include his being thrown out of major retailers such as Walmart and Target. He had also made news during his rivalry with the famous Fortnite streamer Ninja.
Why was Jack Doherty banned on Kick?
Despite making a living off provocative controversies, interestingly these incidents weren’t the reason for Kick to ban the streamer’s channel. Over the past week, Jack had multiple guests on his stream who were seen flashing themselves without censorship.
Three clips in particular went viral on social media, which received a lot of backlash from users on social media. Users criticized streamers for showing such content on their streams. Another streamer, Heelmike, who was a collaborator on one of Jack’s streams was also banned by the streaming platform for 24 hours. Responding to the ban, Heelmike confirmed that the ban on Jack Doherty, Xenathewitch, and himself would be shortly be lifted.

Although Kick has not officially revealed the reason for banning the two streamers, users have connected the dots, pinpointing the flashing incidents to likely be the cause for the suspensions. Jack also responded to the ban with a cryptic message that the ban was not as permanent. “I’ll be back tonight,” he claimed.
On the other hand, the third person to be banned ‘Xenathewitcher’ also revealed that the ban on Doherty and herself was for 24 hours only. She posted “No more flashy flash … Gotta respect the platform,” directing users to her OnlyFans instead.
Adult content on mainstream live-streaming platforms has been a sensitive topic in recent times. Last month, Twitch made changes to its nudity content policy, however, rolled it back after facing criticism from the community. On the other hand, Kick has enforced a strict ban on such explicit content after they announced the moderation rules last year. The rules ban certain apparel dances or actions including twerking.
