Ubisoft is all set to release in February 2024. And ahead of the official launch, the devs have announced one final open beta for the game. Interestingly, the pre-launch will also allow pre-loading two days prior.
Skull and Bones will officially hit the shelves on February 16, 2024. The game is up for pre-orders in various editions, some of which also include three days of early access to the game. Besides, players who pre-order the game will also be eligible to get an exciting pre-order bonus.
Skull and Bones open beta
Players can take advantage of an open beta of the upcoming game Skull and Bones between February 8 to 11. The best part about this open beta is that the progress and exclusive rewards earned during the beta period can be carried forward into the full game when it finally launches on February 16, 2024.
The Skull and Bones open beta will begin on February 8 at 2 am GMT and will run for approximately four days. It will end on February 12 at 11 am GMT. For other regions, the open beta begins at the following times:
- CET – February 8, 2024 at 3 am
- PT – February 7 at 1 am
- ET – February 7 at 4 am
- AET – February 8 at 10 am

Players playing the beta will be capped at Infamy Tier 6. Meanwhile, they can earn five exclusive rewards that will carry over to the launch. These rewards include a unique ship cosmetic, emote, weapon, and Lemur pet.
The beta will also have all the features of the full game including cross-play and cross-progression between Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Notably, the game is not available on Steam for PC players. Players wanting to play the game on PC will have to do so via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.
Additionally, players who have pre-ordered this much-awaited game of 2024 or have subscribed to Ubisoft+ can play the full version of Skull and Bones three days earlier than the official launch which is on February 13, 2024
How to play Skull and Bones open beta?
Since it is an ‘open’ beta, anyone can play the game. PC players can play the Skull and Bones open beta using either Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store. The beta can be found in the relevant launcher by navigating to the ‘Free Games’ section.
On the other hand, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 players must search for the Skull and Bones game on the store and download it. Notably, Ubisoft is also allowing all players to pre-load the open beta two days early starting on February 6, 2024, so players can get their hands on the game as soon as it starts.
Considering Ubisoft’s Skull and Games is confirmed to be 65 GB, it is advisable to preload the game 24 hours before the beta goes live so that players can get enough time to download the game before playing.
Apart from the announcement of the open beta, Ubisoft has also additionally revealed more details about what players can expect from the open-world pirate RPG’s endgame in the coming months.
