- Nintendo's infringement investigation and another urgent game issue was an unexpected hit for the developers.
Palworld continues to struggle with plagiarism accusations from the community as well as “investigation” by Nintendo. After the game launched to an overwhelming response, the fans have now discovered a new bug in the game.
Palworld launched on January 18, 2024, and soon became a huge hit within just a few hours. However, the delight of the devs was short-lived. Soon Nintendo issued a public statement stating they were “investigating another company’s game” for infringement. While all this is still happening, the devs may have another issue to urgently look at in the game.
New bug discovered in Palworld
Players have recently reported a newly discovered glitch in Palworld. The glitch turns Arsox into an enormous, somewhat transparent creature. Although big creatures are not something alien to Palworld, the size of this bugged Arsox is extremely enormous surpassing all others.
It’s not new for early-access games to be filled with bugs. These include glitches that are game-breaking to funny. Palworld seems to be going through the same plight. Despite its massive popularity, the Pokemon-inspired game has encountered several issues since its release. Players have earlier reported bad AI for Pals, missing terrain textures, bugged holes in the ground, as well as crashes when Palworld was played on Xbox.
However, the recent bug is rare and is making players enjoy a good laugh. A player named, ‘TerroDark98’ has managed to record a short clip of the glitch and they posted the 21-second long clip on the internet. The clip shows the player in one of Palworld’s early areas, who then flies using a Nitewing.
They eventually discover a weirdly big and sometimes translucid Arsox hovering over them. The user shared a post on Reddit titled “Arsox is our God now,” due to its massive appearance just above the player’s head. The thread received over 3,700 upvotes. However, unfortunately, TerroDark98 could not explain how the bug took place, thus it is unclear how it can be replicated.
Other issues in Palworld
Notably, the Arsox bug is not the only one persisting in Palworld. Several other funny glitches can be found in Palworld. Recently, a Palworld player reported being pixelated after butchering many Pals. This strange bug is triggered when the player kills over 100 Pals.
The player remains to be pixelated for an undetermined amount of time if the player does nothing. Some players have found a temporary fix to this issue. It can be fixed by simply leaving the server and re-entering, which generally makes the characters normal again.
Although these are mostly harmless bugs, the developer, Pocketpair is currently trying their best to fix Palworld’s stability and get rid of the bothersome issues such as crashes. Although the game is almost fully playable on both PC and Xbox, players were facing issues such as the Pals not attacking when commanded. Besides the glitching issue in the player’s base still exists.
