GTA 6 seems to be the target of speculation right now. We get a new leak that gives us insights into what’s being cooked by Rockstar Games, with every passing day.
The GTA series is historic and has rooted itself among one of gaming’s pillars. A testament to this statement was GTA V which still reportedly prints lots of money for the developers every day.

One of the more recent leaks showed an ability that was previously absent in older GTA games. Gunfights are a big part of GTA and they are one of the factors that make the game what it is. In the older 3D generation games, there was no specific button for taking cover, it mostly consisted of crouching behind objects and walls where the enemy bullets can’t reach you.
GTA IV introduced a system to take cover at the press of a button with the ability to peek and shoot or shoot without peeking albeit inaccurately. This also carried over to games after GTA IV like GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, and even Max Payne.

In the leaked clip of GTA 6, we see the main character, walking slowly towards his target while covering his face with the gun he is carrying. In another subsequent clip, we see the character doing the same but with his hands if unarmed.
This adds a lot of elements to the game where players don’t have to move cover to cover but instead can move dynamically toward the target to finish the job. Rockstar Games seems to be focused on adding things to give the game a touch of realism to make GTA 6 feel like a game with a polish unheard of.
GTA 6 leaks show realism
Rockstar Games hit the extent of realism with Red Dead Redemption 2. The only games that can come close to it are dedicated simulators.
The GTA 6 leaks that have come out since September 2022 showcase that RDR 2 wasn’t the peak of realism that they wanted to achieve and want to make a huge balance of realistic but fun gameplay with the sixth title.

So far, we’ve seen that the developers want to make the Police AI as realistic as possible while still keeping the intensity of the chases that people have come to love GTA for. Not only that but the introduction of an actual dynamic weapon pick-up system seems to confirm that Rockstar won’t stop at naught to achieve the realism they are looking for in this game.
GTA 6 seems to feature a reworked version of the RAGE Engine which has improved physics for driving and destruction of vehicles with fans also wishing for the same.
Leakers seem to be desperate to get a look at GTA 6 whenever possible and at the rate that leaks release every day, we might see the whole game before it’s even announced.
