The core childhood memory of every 2000s kid, GTA is gearing up for the launch of GTA 6. Rockstar Games, the developers of the GTA franchise, confirmed the news in February 2022 through an official Newswire post. The post mentioned some important updates. The major one among them was that the next version of the game would only be available on Xbox series X/S and PS5.
But the next big thing regarding updates of GTA 6 is the leaked confidential details. Rockstar Games, with their news, gave no hint regarding the release date of GTA 6. Just then, a guy named Chris Kippel, a known leaker of GTA details leaked the release date through his tweet in 2022. According to his tweet, the game is not likely o be released before the last months of 2024. Hence, it is believed that GTA 6 will probably be released in the last months of 2024 or the initial months of 2025.

Whereas it is highly unlikely, fans are speculating about the release of GTA 6 in May 2023. This speculation is based on Brian Zampella’s Instagram post. Brian is also the speculated voice actor of GTA 6’s male lead Jason. In the post, Brain is seen wearing a Hawaiian-themed shirt surrounded by huge palm trees. The picture exactly resembles the theme of GTA, which is set in Vice City, Miami.
A Youtuber, as well as a gamer Tom Henderson, is also alleged for leaking some more details. He mentioned that Rockstar is stalling the release because of the limited player base of PS5 and Xbox series X/S.
What do we know about GTA 6 so far?
The leaked videos of GTA 6 are enough to satisfy the curiosity of overly-eager fans. A journalist called Jason Schreier confirmed in his tweet that all leaked footage is indeed real. This gives the fans of GTA a sneak peek into the yet mysterious world of GTA.
Not that there was much doubt, but I’ve confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games

Although, the game is reportedly having, for the first time, a new female lead character called Lucia. She will feature along with Jason, the supposed male lead. They will, again supposedly be presented in a ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ style. The game is reportedly headed to the modern-day Vice City, according to leaked videos and leaked maps. The game is also speculated to have mind-blowing graphics, along with new weapons and systems.
What does Rockstar have to say about the leaks of GTA 6?
Following the release, the parent company of Rockstar, Take-Two released a message. In which they stated the reason for the leak as a ‘third-party network intrusion’. It is said that the company filed an FBI complaint against the ‘leaker’.
