Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones has been one of the most talked-about fights in the recent while. The potential super-fight between the former light-heavyweight champion and current UFC heavyweight champion started way before Ngannou even became the UFC champ. Needless to say, now the stakes are even higher and fans can’t wait to see who gets his hand raised when Ngannou and Jones share the UFC Octagon once and for all.
Ciryl Gane, who is quite aware of what Ngannou brings inside the UFC Octagon considering he used to train with Ngannou shared his thoughts on who gets his hand raised when Ngannou shares the UFC Octagon with arguably the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, Jon Jones.
In a recent QNA session on Twitter ahead of the interim title fight against Derrick Lewis, French fighter Ciryl Gane had quite a straightforward answer to a fan wondering how the fight between Ngannou and Jones turns out.

Ciryl Gane believes Francis Ngannou gets the better of Jon Jones. While it’s one thing to believe that Gane is potentially trying to side with his former partner, however, someone as credible as Gane himself, who has trained with Nagnnou in the past potentially knows the kind of fight that Ngannou brings inside the cage.
Additionally, considering the fact that Jon Jones has now moved to the division, he is well aware of the kind of game that Jones brings inside the Octagon as a heavyweight fighter.
Ciryl Gane believes Francis Ngannou beats Jon Jones
Jon Jones has never been rocked in his MMA career and the undefeated fighter barring the DQ loss against Matt Hamil is undoubtedly one of the greatest mixed martial artists to ever step inside the cage.
I think Francis finishes him

However, it’s a different story in the heavyweight division. With Francis Ngannou already having bested the likes of Stipe Miocic, Alistair Overeem, Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez among others, it’s hard not to deny his power in the heavyweight division. Additionally, Ngannous height and his improving takedown defense make him an even more dangerous fighter.
While there’s every possibility that Jones can hand a loss to Francis Ngannou, looking at the performances of both the fighters, it’s safe to say that the UFC’s heavyweight champion looks better than Jon Jones at the moment.
