Taking place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the fight brings with it a very watchable card as well. Live on DAZN, the undercard features some veterans and up-and-comers as well. However, the main attraction is obviously the eagerly awaited firefight between Garcia and Duarte.
Previously, ‘La Migraña‘ secured impressive finishes over Alex Martin and D’Angelo Keyes earlier in 2023. Now on an 11-fight win streak, Duarte is coming in on red-hot form and will be at his best to face Garcia. Although ‘King Ry‘ suffered a brutal loss, he is still a force to be reckoned with and easily one of the best in the world.

Garcia vs. Duarte prediction
For the most part, Ryan Garcia is seen as a clear favorite for this one. Whilst Duarte is seen as a capable opponent, he is still, for all intents and purposes, a comeback fight for Garcia. Having fought some top-tier opposition, Ryan has cemented himself as an elite fighter in the game. As such, he will likely live up to that elite standard come Saturday night.
As for his opponent, Oscar Duarte has racked up a list of 11 wins on the bounce, all by way of finish. Thus, despite the outcome, the stage is set for Duarte to show the world what he is made of and make a name for himself. Whilst he isn’t expected to win, Duarte has all the makings of a dark horse. As such, many believe that he is well capable of pulling off a big upset.
With that said, this will also be Ryan Garcia’s first fight working with Derek James. Thus, many will be interested to see how that affects his game. As for Oscar Duarte, he has never really faced higher-level opposition like Ryan. Moreover, with a Garcia that’s changed from his old ways, it will be unfamiliar territory for the Mexican. In conclusion, Duarte may put up a good fight, but ‘KingRy’ is expected to get the better of him.
