Renowned Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors’ career has taken an unfortunate turn this year, despite bagging prolific roles in major budget films. The 33-year-old recently starred in ‘Creed 3,’ which saw a March release this year. However, a few weeks after the release, NYPD arrested Jonathan in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan on charges of assault, strangulation, and harassment.
After his arrest, the alleged victim even sent text messages to the 33-year-old after treating her injuries at the hospital. Officials have since released the American actor from custody with a limited order of protection. As Majors prepares for a court appearance on May 8, things seem to have gotten worse for him.
As per new reports, multiple women came out on Wednesday to cooperate with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. The women claim to be victims of Jonathan’s alleged abuse. The prospect of additional women waiting in the queue would take a much worse turn for the 33-year-old‘s ongoing case.
The District Attorney hasn’t made any comments on the matter yet. Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry gave out a statement saying, “Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. “We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated.”
Will Jonathan Majors lose his role as Kang in MCU?
In recent months, the California native’s name propelled to superstardom, with a bunch of lucrative roles in the foreseeable future. All eyes still remain on him, however, this time to confirm whether he stays part of the said projects.
Jonathan recently bagged the role of ‘Kang the Conqueror,’ in the highly touted MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). As of now, Jonathan is still attached to acting in the film. The film has a release date of May 2, 2025. As per reports, the 33-year-old will be receiving a $20 million payday along with back-end compensation.

Jonathan also bagged a role in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ which has a 2026 release date. Majors has become one of the fastest-rising actors in Hollywood. But his future with major studios remains in jeopardy. Various brands have already pulled ad campaigns involving the actor. Majors’ talent management company and PR firms have reportedly cut ties with him as well.
Majors is stepping into the shoes of Thanos, to cause similar havoc for everyone’s favorite MCU heroes. His first appearance was in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” Josh Brolin, who played the villain in Avengers: Infinity Wars and Avengers: End Game, earned $5 million and $6 million for the two movies respectively.
Rumors suggest that Brolin will return to his role as Thanos in Avengers: Secret Wars. If he does, the 55-year-old will be making no less than what he did in the saga’s previous films.
