Ahead of his much-awaited fight against Nate Diaz, ‘The Problem Child’ has allegedly been betrayed. Earlier in the week, Dillon Danis, an old foe of Jake Paul’s, leaked messages displaying correspondence with Paul’s trainer, Shane Mosley. The messages portray Mosley as a traitor to the Jake Paul camp.
In the DMs, Mosley appears to advise Danis on exaggerating an injury in the hopes of luring Paul into a fight. Implying that Paul and his team would cherish taking on an injured fighter to boost their chances of a win. The said messages also display Mosley’s attempt to share Paul’s weakness with Danis. If true, these messages would certainly put a wedge between Paul and Mosley. Unsurprisingly, Paul has discredited the DMs and stands in solidarity with his trainer.
stop the cap reason i’m not scrolling all the way down because there is more about how the fights are fixed but i don’t feel like dealing with a legal issue, i got training to do. https://t.co/8dM3kJ3R8v pic.twitter.com/Z2BAwnWMnV

In the past, Danis has been known to share fake messages to cause an uproar in the media. Therefore, his credibility is questionable, to say the least.
Shane Mosley denies betraying Jake Paul, makes big revelation about his social media
Mosley, a former three-weight division champion, outright denied the allegations of a betrayal. Further stating that he was not even in charge of his social media three years ago.
Mosley wrote on Instagram, “For the record three years ago I didn’t even control my own social media. Now I do. To be clear, Jake Paul would annihilate Dillon Danis, but it would never get sanctioned. Jake’s a boxer. What they are doing are unsanctioned exhibitions and are not on Jake’s level. Saturday night you will see.”

In spite of Mosley’s attempt to plead innocence, Danis took it up a notch by sharing the messages from different angles. This made it difficult to discredit the messages completely. The messages were supposedly exchanged in 2021 when Paul and Danis looked certain to face off after their back and forth on social media. Unfortunately for Danis, the fight fell through, and Paul went on to face Ben Askren. That fight ended in a first-round KO win for Paul.
The messages also contain a warning from Mosley to not share these messages online. This was probably done taking into consideration Danis’ track record. Whether these messages are true or not is of little importance to Paul at the moment, who needs to focus on his fight against Diaz over the weekend. Hopefully, he can compartmentalize and give his fans a performance to cherish. What are your thoughts on this whole fiasco?
