The Supreme Court found in favor of a Christian web designer in Colorado who, due to religious beliefs, refuses to construct websites to commemorate same-sex weddings. The court ruled out an enormous setback for LGBTQ rights. The major decisions that the nation’s highest court made that granted the majority expanded protections for LGBTQ workers, which were reinforced for many years.
Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote the 6-3 judgment, which was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, and Clarence Thomas. Sonia Sotomayor, accompanied by her liberal colleagues Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson, wrote a dissent.
Adrien Broner is a skilled boxer with years of expertise, having won world titles in four different weight classes after defeating some of the world’s top competitors. The 33-year-old, on the other hand, has received criticism for his uneven work ethic and a knack to create headlines for inappropriate reasons.
Upon the major judgment passed, Adrien Broner, former four-division world champion, openly started flirting with the Women’s Boxing champ Alycia Baumgardner. Broner took to Instagram and posted a story update where he stated, “I Identify as a female, my next fight I want to fight Alycia Baumgardner.” Adrien also pointed out jokingly that the world is letting people do whatever they can, so he’s also taking a shot.
Alycia Baumgardner’s hilarious response
Baumgardner (14-1, 7 knockouts), from Chicago, Illinois, is #8 in the women’s pound-for-pound rankings. Baumgardner’s most recent fight, on February 4, knocked her down Elhem Mekhaled twice her way to a unanimous decision victory. Baumgardner won the WBA championship, making her the undisputed champion.
As Baumgardner got to know about the ‘challenge’, she took no time to reply back to this hilarious ‘challenge.’ Baumgardner stated, “Big AB Not the Lil One” throwing away the joke back to Adrien.
Baumgardner will attempt the maiden defense of her undefeated junior lightweight title on July 15 in Detroit against Christina Linardatou. Baumgardner’s sole loss in her professional career was a split decision against Linardatou in July 2018. She intends to not only revenge for her loss against Linardatou but also to restore the Detroit boxing scene.
