American boxer Gervonta Davis has been caught up in a scuffle with some trolls on X (formerly known as Twitter). Davis faced some targeted tweets and he responded to them without any filter.
The first tweet claimed that Davis’ domination is limited to the 135 lb weight category. An account by the name @_MiGGz wrote, “@Gervontaa is a NOBODY outside 135 WEIGHT DIVISION! I said what I said.”
Davis has fought in the Super Featherweight (125-130 lbs), Lightweight (130-135 lbs), and Light Welterweight (135-140 lbs) weight classes. He has held world championships in all three weight classes. As of October 2023, Davis’ record stands at a staggering 29-0.

The 28-year-old responded to the tweet with utmost confidence. He wrote, “This boxing sh*t mine buddy..f*ck a weight class I am the face.”
However, to this, an account by the name of @marathonkash wrote, “You don’t fight nobody we care about.”
Davis did not take this well. In an outrageous response, he wrote, “Shut up before i have my homie to f*ck ya little ugly a*s gf.”

Davis won the match via a seventh-round KO. Overall, this was his 27th KO victory. Only two of his triumphs have come via a decision (both unanimous).
Gervonta Davis’ trainer says ‘Tank’ will fight Teofimo Lopez at some point in the future
Reports suggest that Teofimo Lopez and Davis have known each other for a while now. Lopez has called out Davis for a bout multiple times but nothing seems to have materialized yet. However, Davis’ trainer Calvin Ford assured that the bout would take place one day.
According to Boxing Social, he said, “That fight [Davis vs Lopez] is going to happen one day, because of the background they have with each other.”
“We’ve seen them spar each other when they were amateurs and what not. That’s going to be a good fight one day.”
