Andrew Tate and the tale of his arrest keeps getting more complicated with each passing day. The brothers have been in jail for nearly 2 months now. Andrew and Tristan Tate were initially arrested on December 29, 2022, on some very serious charges including r*pe, human trafficking, and ties to organized crime.
Almost every day, new evidence or testimony from someone close to the case appears to change the pre-established facts. Most recently, Tate’s lawyer, Eugen Vidineac, claimed to have “paralyzed the evidence administered until now”. Vidineac said they were “very confident” in the defense they had prepared for the brothers.

Another lawyer on Tate’s legal team, Tina Glandian also corroborated Andrew’s claims of the Romanian authorities detaining them without evidence. And recently, one of Tate’s friends, Dylan Madden, posted a breakdown of the recently released wiretaps. He said the Romanian police had been wiretapping the brothers for nearly a year and were sitting on some evidence that could exonerate them.
With so much evidence against the Tates’ arrest, one would think they would be released by now. Even Top G himself thought so, saying he would be freed soon in a recent tweet. However, something very bizarre happened as the 2 women, arrested alongside Andrew and Tristan, were freed. But the Tate brothers’ detention was extended again.
Andrew Tate and Tristan’s arrest was extended but the women were released
Andrew and Tristan’s initial detention of 24 hours was extended to 30 days after the prosecution requested it. Their appeal was denied on January 10 after a hearing in a Romanian court. The brothers then saw another 30 days added to their sentence, which meant they would be in jail till February 27.
And now, the Bucharest Tribunal handling their case has extended the Tates’ arrest warrants even further. On February 21, the Tribunal decided to extend the Tate brothers’ detention by another 30 days. However, the judiciary body made another decision that will definitely enrage a lot of Tate’s fans.

The Bucharest Tribunal decided to ease the punishments of the two defendants Naghel Georgiana-Manuela and Radu Alexandra-Luana. The two women will be under house arrest after their release from prison. This ruling will surely receive a lot of backlash from Andrew Tate’s fans.
In the months since their arrest, both brothers have complained about their plights in the prison. Tristan even claimed at one point that Andrew Tate was denied having any visitors in prison. Now, fans will be more vocal than ever in protesting Top G’s arrest after the other suspects’ release.
