Jake Paul might just have cracked the code to fast-track his way to the top. Whilst fans may be well aware of his boxing shenanigans and his YouTube career before that, he is now seemingly making his way to the big screen. If rumors are to be believed, ‘The Problem Child’ has landed himself a role in a movie.
Earlier in 2023, Creed III made its way into theaters as a highly acclaimed sports drama film. Starring major Hollywood stars like Tessa Thompson, and Jonathan Majors, and the main protagonist, Michael B. Jordan, the movie lived up to its hype. Following the success of the movie, there was naturally a lot of talk about potential sequels and spin-offs in the future.

Although Jordan had previously confirmed that a fourth Creed film would happen “for sure“, there were no further updates. However, according to the Pop Culture media outlet ‘TheBreadBatch’, a fourth Creed movie is potentially in the works. Not only that, the outlet also believes Jake Paul is set to be the ‘main fight’ of the movie.
Although the source has been reliable in the past, any rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. While some feel confused as to why the 26-year-old is in consideration, there might be more than a few reasons. Following his recent outings in the ring, Paul has become somewhat of a social media and entertainment phenom. Thus, whilst reports of him being the ‘main villain’ might be far-fetched, there is a possibility that Jake may feature in the film.
Has Jake Paul appeared in any movies before?
Considering that fans have seen him do well on YouTube and inside a boxing ring, many wonders if Jake Paul has the acting chops to pull off a role in a major film. Having integrated himself into the fight game, Jake has shown the wit and the showmanship required. However, for those unaware, Paul does have some prior experience in the acting department as well.
For the most part, Jake Paul rose to prominence after his role as Dirk Mann in Disney’s Bizaardvark. Having played a leading role, Jake’s TV stint was key to his VINE career that followed shortly after. Switching to a longer form of content, Paul then made his way to YouTube, where he garnered the majority of his fans. Thus, there is no doubt that ‘The Problem Child’ could do a job in a major film. With that said, fans have not exactly taken to the news very well.
One user wrote, “Biggest flop of the year incoming 🔥” whilst another followed it up with, “Can’t wait for that atrocious acting”. Similarly, other fans also chimed in by saying, “Please no” and “If this happens I’m done with Michael b Jordan”. Evidently, the consensus surrounding Paul’s involvement in the Creed series has been largely negative. Notably, this could be due to Jake’s recent documentary, ‘Untold: Jake Paul and the Problem Child’ on Netflix.
For the most part, the documentary failed to impress, securing a very average 6.1/10 on IMDb. Despite this, Paul’s influence in the world of boxing has been unrivaled. Undeniably, he is one of the biggest names in the sport right now. Thus, it is understandable why movie studios could be tempted to capitalize on his hype and bring him in. Will it actually happen? Only time will tell.
