Caleb Plant and David Benavidez will lock horns at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The fight between the two is one of the most anticipated boxing matches of the year. Benavidez is undefeated with three TKO wins in his last 3 fights. Whereas, Caleb Plant is coming off a KO win against Anthony Dirrell in the 9th round after losing to Canelo Alvarez in 2021.
But let’s sidetrack for a minute and focus on the theatrics surrounding the fight, namely, the fighters’ walkouts. Both fighters have used a variety of songs in the past during their ring entrances. “Sweet Hands” is especially particular about the way he walks out, very excited during the walkouts. And even though his walkouts aren’t all elaborate, the one during the unification fight against Canelo was a spectacle.

At the Canelo fight in 2021, Caleb walked out alongside Conway The Machine” from Griselda. The rapper sang his famous song, “Fear of God.” Fans went crazy for this walkout at the Grand Golden Arena on November 6, 2021. The American middleweight has not confirmed what song he will be using for his fight against David Benavidez as he looks to become the IBF middleweight champion.
What songs has David Benavidez used during his walkouts?
David Benavidez is an undefeated fighter from America who holds the interim WBC super middleweight championship. He won the title against David Lemieux after knocking him out back in May 2022. As a fighter who is proud of his heritage, Benavidez has used songs that reflect his culture and relate to his Mexican heritage despite hailing from Arizona in the US.
At the AT&T Stadium during his co-main event fight against J’Leon Love, he walked out to one such song. Benavidez used the song, Sobrino De La Tia Juana by the Regional Mexican band, Maximo Grado. In his next fight, he used “Ni Hoy Ni Manana” by American singer-songwriter, Gerardo Ortiz. Benavidez has not strayed from using songs like these in his subsequent fights.

So far, like his opponent Plant, El Bandera Roja has not confirmed the walkout song for his upcoming fight. This fight has a lot riding on for him as he needs to worry about retaining his coveted undefeated record on top of his interim strap. On the other hand, a win over Benavidez would go a long way in helping Plant get back to the top of the super middleweight division.
