- Before joining WWE, this youngster had a pretty decent career in football.
WWE has been the hub for making new pro wrestling stars for decades, and the organization continues to do so. Even though most of the workers who join the promotion hail from wrestling backgrounds, the company also recruits performers from other sports, as is the case with Beau Morris.
The 25-year-old in-ring star is currently a part of the Stamford-based promotion, as he’s a trainee at their performance center. Despite not being on live TV that much, Beau is still a well-known name among fans, and a major reason behind this is his football career. So, let’s check out everything about his career as a football player, as well as his stats in the sport.
Born on April 13, 1998, the WWE star is the son of Troy and Kim Morris, and his hometown is Baton Rouge, Las Vegas. Even though he’s currently working as a pro wrestler, he had a love for football ever before and was a reputed personality in the sport.
Beau holds numerous accolades as a footballer, which include being a first-team all-district selection and team captain as a senior. The 25-year-old was an all-district honorable mention selection as a junior and also participated in the U.S. Army Red Stick Bowl. His love for sports can also be estimated by the fact that he even played baseball on a professional level.
Beau Morris’ football career stats
Morris was a student at St. Michael High School, and that’s where he first played football professionally. The 6-foot-6 was an offensive lineman for his team and had spectacular skills as a footballer. In 2017, which was his freshman year at Blinn College, Beau spent his redshirt freshman season there, before which he spent 2016 at McNeese.

When did Beau Morris join the WWE?
Despite going pretty well in college football, Morris’s love for professional wrestling still took him on the path to join the industry. Amid this, the 25-year-old athlete signed with the Triple H-led promotion back in August 2022 as a part of the Fall 2022 Rookie Class.
After getting onboard with the company, Morris was announced as an in-ring worker for the promotion alongside the 14 other recruits who were signed. Out of all 15 performers who were given contracts, 14, including Beau, were selected from tryouts held in Nashville during that year’s SummerSlam weekend.

Monika Klisara, a rising female star who represented Team Canada in karate, was the only person who took part in the tryouts held in Dallas. Following his deal finalization with the organization, the offensive lineman started slow, but now he’s probably a part of a newly formed team named The Bayou Boys, in which he’s working alongside Hayden Pittman.
Being a young duo, this team was used by WWE to show the dominance of Authors of Pain, as they lost quite easily to them on SmackDown‘s February 16 episode. Even though the journey for Morris hasn’t been that fruitful, he is very young as a pro wrestler, and thus he’s only going to go upward with experience. It remains to be seen how the company will use the youngster in the near future.
