The Hawks are led by Trae Young who is continuing his ascend as one of the guards in the NBA. Ice Trae is averaging 26.2 points per game as the fifth top scorer in the league. He is also shooting a career-best 46% from the field and 38% from the three-point line, this season Alongside Young, John Collins is averaging 16.5 points and 2.1 assists. 

Charlotte Hornets season so far

The Charlotte Hornets have had an exciting season so far as the eighth seed in the eastern conference. Currently, on a three-game losing streak, Charlotte has won six out of ten games. The Hornets have been putting up 116.4 points, 43.2 rebounds, 27.0 assists, 8.2  steals and 6.4 blocks per game while shooting 47.1% from the field. Buzz City has struggled on the defensive end, as they have conceded 114.5 points.

Led by the sophomore guard, Lamelo Ball, who is averaging 20 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists. He also averages 2.9 made 3-pointers per game for the Hornets while shooting 39.1% from beyond the arc. But against the Hawks, veteran forward Gordan Hayward will have a crucial role as the Hornets’ key starter. Hayward is averaging 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season.

The Atlanta Hawks are the favourites to win this game as the Hornets could miss the starting backcourt of Lamelo Ball and Terry Rozier. Hawks also have an 8-3 home record improving their chances against Charlotte. With Trae Young scoring 26.2 points per game Hornets will have a difficult night in Atlanta.
