Vicente Luque vs Nate Diaz has been teased for quite some time now. Arguably two of the most violent and durable fighters in the UFC, Diaz, and Luque have both cemented their position as elite performers.
After Nate Diaz confirmed his interest in a potential fight with Vicente Luque, rumors were rife that were could see both the fighters share the UFC Octagon later this year in December. However, according to Diaz’s latest tweet, it doesn’t look to be the case.

Diaz stated in a tweet that he is currently without a fight contract, and opined that it could be due to Vicente Luque. However, the Brazilian stalwart made it quite clear in his latest tweet that he is still interested, indicating he has no clue what’s taking longer to sign the fight contract.

Luque further expressed his interest in an “all stand up war.” Needless to say, that has been the expectation as both the fighters are known to always deliver inside the Octagon. Both Diaz and Luque are explosive fighters who are never scared to get into a dog fight. Additionally, the iron chin on both the fighters makes it arguably one of the most exciting fights in the division.
When will Vicente Luque vs Nate Diaz take place?
Vicente Luque vs Nate Diaz is a fight that is bound to go down at some point in time. Both the fighters have expressed their interest in facing each other, so it’s safe to say that they will square off inside the Octagon at some point in time.
Luque is on an incredible streak, with back-to-back submission wins over Tyron Woodley and Michael Chiesa. Meanwhile, Nate Diaz is coming off an exciting fight against Leon Edwards and is looking to return to the Octagon as soon as possible. We could probably see both the fighters share the Octagon in early 2022.
