SUMMARY
- Veteran pro wrestler Chris Jericho has recently been involved in a number of controversies.
- In late 2023, Y2J faced sexual misconduct allegations by a former TNA female performer.
Professional wrestling legend Chris Jericho has been the talk of the industry ever since AEW’s Worlds End show. On the morning of the event, allegations of sexual misconduct started surfacing against the 53-year-old, and former TNA star Kylie Rae also confirmed that she faced something similar.
In fact, since the day this thing burst out on the internet and Nick Hausman compared him to Harvey Weinstein, the All Elite Wrestling worker has remained silent. But after weeks of being away from media, Y2J has made a comeback to silence his critics on this matter.
Sharing a tweet on his official X handle, he wrote, “You can’t soar with the eagles, if you surround yourself with turkeys.” With this, he probably hinted at leaving behind the past, but fans probably won’t allow him to escape the sexual misconduct allegations, as they trolled him. (Via: X)

Taking a savage dig at the allegations made against Jericho, someone from the audience commented, “Did the Turkeys Sign an NDA.” As Jericho allegedly has NDAs signed because he doesn’t want stories to circulate, this was a clear case of trolling the 53-year-old AEW star for the misconduct allegations against him.
In fact, it seems like Y2J took note of the way the fans’ were responding, and that’s why he disabled replies. Moreover, it must be noted that the latest tweet by Chris is the first time he has broken his silence after that incident. But it didn’t take him long enough to realize how the crowd was reacting, due to which he quickly disabled the comments.
Chris Jericho previously assaulted a female fan in 2009
The Canadian-born pro wrestler may have been accused of misconduct by Kylie Rae, but he’s been named in controversies involving women in the past too. In fact, in February 2009, the legendary Chris Jericho assaulted a female fan, and that was when she approached him for a picture.
This happened in Y2J’s home country, Canada, after the veteran performed a WWE match. As he was driving away, he was surrounded by a group of people and at a stop sign. Moreover, the fans heckled him for his loss on RAW, as a result of which the pro wrestler got out of his car and asked them to clear the path, but things got even worse afterwards.
According to one of the witnesses, the 6-foot-tall in-ring star spit on a blonde woman named Ashley Levey. Following which, she tried to hit him, but Y2J punched her. This incident got so many headlines that the Stamford-based promotion had to issue a statement saying that Jericho was assaulted when he was trying to leave the location.
In fact, this assault saga was something that resulted in a lot of damage to Chris’ reputation as an individual. Now, it’s been nearly 15 years since that incident, but he still finds himself in controversies. Not just this, the AEW star was recently revealed to have been knocked out by MVP in a 2020 altercation. Will Jericho come in public to share his side of it? Looking at the response his tweet got, it seems highly unlikely that he’ll do so.
