The WWE arena is a witness to many stories that are never brought before the camera and one such story involves Bryan Danielson. Before venturing out for AEW, Danielson spent almost 12 years working for the Stamford-based promotion. Although one would find him smiling always, there was one incident that left him “furious.”
Things go back to June of 2013 when Bryan Danielson faced Randy Orton. Amidst a tough match, Orton threw Danielson onto the barricades, thus injuring him. Daniel lost sensation in his right arm, which left the management worried. Triple H sent Dr. Michael Sampson to check out the former WWE star. He also asked the referee to bring the match to an end.
but rarely do you see this kind of hate when it happens. For example,
I concussed Randy Orton in 2012 after hitting him with what was supposed to be a chair to the back. Unfortunately part of the side hit him in the back of the head, and he was forced to miss a PPV…— Bryan Danielson (@bryandanielson) October 1, 2018
HHH’s move wasn’t taken in good spirits by the ‘American Dragon’. In his book, ‘Yes! My Improbable Journey to the Main Event of WrestleMania,’ he shared the story behind the segment. “Usually I don’t get super angry, and when I do it’s barely visible. This time, I was furious and I let everyone know it,” he wrote in the book.
“When I walked through the curtain, I yelled, ‘What the f*ck is that all about? That’s f*cking bullsh*t,” he added. When Triple H asked him to calm down, he replied, “No, you need to calm the f*ck down.” The two were standing quite close to each other, ready for a fight. But nothing of such extremity happened.
Why was Bryan Danielson ready to fight Triple H?
Being a great sportsman, Bryan Danielson showcased every bit of his spirit during all his matches. When his match against Randy Orton was rushed to the end, it greatly impacted Danielson. He was clearly upset with the decision made by Triple H. Talking about the same in his book, he wrote a few words.
“It felt hypocritical for Triple H – of all people – to do that, considering in 2001 Hunter himself tore his quad live on RAW and yet finished his match,” wrote the ‘American Dragon.’ He believed that his potential was not brought to full use. It also indicates that his calibre was incorrectly measured, which wasn’t liked by the AEW star.
However, Bryan did not stop here and had a lot more to achieve in his professional career. He went through numerous injuries, but every time he got back up. Looking at his grit and valor, a lot of fans seek inspiration from him, making him one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.
