AEW star Bryan Danielson gave a performance of a lifetime at the recently held All Out pay-per-view and returned to Collision on the September 9 episode. It was revealed earlier that he’d be cutting a promo, but what he announced was something nobody from the pro wrestling world expected.
On the recent Collision episode, Bryan dropped a heartbreaking promo by disclosing some unexpected details about his in-ring future. The star said, “So, I told my daughter that once she turned seven, I would start finishing up on my career, and she is six right now, and I’m a man who keeps my promises, especially to the people I love. So, guess what, time is running out.”
His announcement has made fans wonder if he’ll reture from in-ring action soon. But, in the midst of Danielson‘s hint of a potential end to his pro wrestling career, many fans have been believing that he could eventually make a return to his former workplace, WWE.
Multiple people close to the situation have confirmed with Sports Illustrated that Bryan Danielson will be stepping away from wrestling full-time in the next year, yet may remain a special attraction for AEW.
Appreciate the legend while we still have him.

However, recent reports have revealed that Bryan’s promo was true, and he’ll be stepping away from wrestling full-time within the next year. It has been reported that he may still remain a special attraction for the Jacksonville-based promotion, so a return to the Triple H-led promotion is highly unlikely to happen.
It must be noted that alongside cutting an emotional promo, Bryan also issued a challenge to Zack Sabre Jr. on the recent episode of Collision. Later in the night, it was confirmed that these two performers will be fighting on October 1, 2023, at the AEW WrestleDream PPV.
Why did Bryan Danielson leave WWE?
Everyone knows that before joining All Elite Wrestling back in 2021, the 42-year-old was a prominent name in WWE, as he was popular as Daniel Bryan. He enjoyed a lot of success during his stint with the promotion, but eventually ended up leaving it for Tony Khan’s company.
The American Dragon himself left WWE in 2021, and the reasons behind his exit from the Stamford-based promotion were surprising, to say the least. The star revealed that he had an out-of-body experience and used to feel detached, and that’s why he decided to end his association with Triple H’s company.

Additionally, the 5-time World Champion shared that his wish to give more time to his family, especially young children was also a reason behind his WWE exit. As the schedule of All Elite Wrestling gives some extra family time to the performers, it seemed like the better option to Bryan. (Via: ATLELIFO)
Since joining Tony Khan‘s company, the former WWE Champion has been involved in some high-profile feuds, and his stakes have only gone higher. Bryan is currently a part of the Blackpool Combat Club, but his recent promo is probably a sign that he’ll not be around for much time. It remains to be seen whether the legend will actually be ending his career soon or if it’s just part of a storyline.
