Initially beginning as a platform to create a unique name, pro wrestling soon developed a path that everyone blindly followed. However, when it comes to John Cena, he decided to go off the mainstream. While everyone was busy getting inked in various shades, the Leader of Cenation stayed clean.
But why did John Cena not have any tattoos on his body for over 20 years of his professional wrestling and Hollywood careers? As is known to all, Cena is the face of professional wrestling, not only for his skills but also for the ethics he stands for. It is because of his mother that the 16-time world champion has an ink-free body.

Back in 2015, John Cena starred in Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s – ‘Sisters.’ Cena played the role of a drug dealer, which compelled him to drown himself in a body full of tattoos. Talking to Page Six then, John Cena confessed to not tattooing himself if it weren’t for the movie.
“I do not have any tattoos on my body . . . My mom would kill me if I was to do anything like that,” he said. But his career put him in a position where he had to get tattoos in order to justify his Hollywood role. However, sticking to his mother’s promise, the tattoos were temporary, and he is still ink-free on his body.
Is John Cena’s Ghost tattoo real or fake?
John Cena is widely known for not having any tattoos on his body. However, any change in the course of this thing is sure to invite a lot of heat. This is exactly what happened when Cena accidentally let the audience see his ‘Ghost’ tattoo. He was in China in 2018 when a video started surfacing on the internet revealing his tattoo.
John Cena intended for the fans to see him enjoying his steak with Lao Gan Ma sauce, but fans caught his tattoo instead. While a majority of it lay hidden under his full-sleeved shirt, the word ‘GHOST’ was very much legible. The Peacemaker star has kept his mouth shut about getting inked, but fans couldn’t stop speculating about the same.

Some fans claim it to be real and justify the same with Cena’s in-ring wrist gear, which hid the tattoo perfectly. On the other hand, some believe that it was merely for a project that he might have undertaken at that time. Only John Cena can make the final call as to whether his Ghost tattoo is real or fake.
