Former WWE writer and renowned Hollywood actor, Freddy Prince Jr. was once intimidated by WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon to get fired due to his backstage heat with John Cena.
Freddie Prinze Jr. is an American actor, voice actor, and producer. Prinze Jr. gained prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s with his roles in teen-oriented films such as “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “She’s All That,” and “Scooby-Doo”. He has provided voice work for animated series like “Star Wars Rebels” and “Robot Chicken”.
Freddy Prinze Jr. has also worked as a producer, writer, and director in the film industry. Moreover, Prinze Jr. also briefly worked with WWE as a writer in the late 2000s. However, John Cena, who was the face of the company at that time had some issues with his way of work. Eventually, Vince McMahon learned about their feud and gave a comical reaction.
Freddy revealed the backstage story while talking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight. “I sit down and Vince goes, ‘So, heard you had a little problem with Cena today. (Vince laughs)’ I was like, ‘Nah, man,’ – I try to downplay it and go, ‘I think he’s testing me. All you guys like to test me.’ And he goes, ‘Ah, don’t worry about it, I’m the only one that can fire you.’ And Kevin (Dunn) laughs at Vince’s joke. And I’m like, ‘Man, that wasn’t even that good,” Prinze recalled.
He further added that he needs to worry about taking the crap from the Chairman of Stamford-based promotion. Nevertheless, Freddy also learned that he could take crap from anyone else but he shouldn’t worry and keep doing his thing.
Why did John Cena hate Freddie Prinze Jr?

Freddy used to take promo classes with wrestlers backstage. Once he got interrupted by Cena while taking classes on Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder.
“Look, maybe I’m a Neanderthal but I just don’t see how any of this s**t works,” Cena said while interrupting. Later, Prinze Jr. explained to Cena, “Hey man, not everybody can do what you do. I’m trying to get them to a level where you’re at, or close to it”.
He concluded saying no one else is gonna help them if he doesn’t.
