Botches are a major part of pro wrestling as the superstars have to perform on live television and in front of thousands of fans. At times, the slip-ups are coverable, however, at a few junctures, they go out of hand. Thus in 2013, something similar happened with CM Punk.
On December 6, 2013, CM Punk was going to lock horns against ‘The Lunatic Fringe’ Dean Ambrose at SmackDown. The match was going well until The Best in the World soiled himself in the middle of the brawl. In the era of social media, the news of The Voice of the Voiceless defecting himself got viral quickly.

Thus, after the match, he took to social media and tweeted “Just sh-t my britches on smackdown. Please RT.” However, he was also quick to delete the post as he later tweeted “This poop just ain’t fun anymore.”
CM Punk initially thought that the whole incident was funny as Dean Ambrose as well as Vince McMahon had a good laugh at it. Nevertheless, he had to delete the tweet because they were against the use of the word “sh*t”. However, Punk later ended up blocking the pro wrestling promotion on Twitter too.
CM Punk reveals the real reason behind the infamous defecting incident
After walking out of the pro wrestling promotion in 2014, he revealed a lot of secrets about WWE. He stated that the actual reason behind him pooping in his pants was the excessive dose of Z-Pak, which is an antibiotic.
Before he went on the European tour with WWE, he suffered a concussion against Luke Harper. He was asked if he can fight with the injury, to which he initially agreed. However, he later admitted that he wouldn’t have gone on the tour.
“Doc is giving me… Doc’s like ‘Oh, you’re sick, here’s a Z-Pak.’ They Z-Pak’d me to death, so much that in December I shit my pants on a SmackDown. Because that’s what antibiotics do to you, right?” Punk said.
Because of the concussion and excessive dose of medication, The Best in the World was not able to train well or even sleep on time. In addition to the discomfort, Punk also lost his appetite and eventually ended up pooping his pants in the middle of a match.
The doctor later changed his medication which increased his troubles as he got diarrhea for three weeks. Therefore, the doctors played a major role in making The Best in the World leave WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble.
